Like most comics Nancy's prolific comedy career started when she enrolled in a comedy class. From that beginning she went on to win three New York City MAC Awards for “Outstanding Female Comedian” and a MAC Award for her one woman show “Dignity Check... Please” The New York Times described Nancy as having of her comedy “a razor sharp wit” and Backstage Magazine named her to the "Comedy Best Bets" list in 2005. They described her performances as having “hilarious delivery and facial double takes like those of the great old-time comediennes.”
In addition to Nancy’s MAC Awards she was one of five finalist on Nick at Nite’s “Search for the Funniest Mom in America” in 2005. Soon after, Nancy joined two other finalists and for five years they toured in sold out theaters across the country in their hit comedy show “Mama’s Night Out.” Nancy also starred in an independently produced sitcom pitch pilot “Wit’s End” and in the independent comedy feature “STAGS” which premiered in New York at the VisionFest Film Festival in 2011. Nancy and her daughter Annie were featured on a full half hour segment of Lifetime’s cooking show “Mom’s Cooking” . Nancy continues to perform comedy in venues across the country.
Along with Nancy's years of comedy experience, she also received her Professional Certification in Life Coaching from NYU. She is the author of the new book “Who’s Better Than Me? A Guide to Living Happily Ever After.” Nancy's "Killer Comedy Class" will be a "killer" combination of her coaching skills and comedic expertise. She will be a supportive mentor to those who want to realize their dream of performing stand-up comedy. Nancy wants to be known as the the teacher whose students made it onto comedy's "Most Wanted." list!
